Redefining international development
USAID approached Isometric to curate, design, and install its 2014 biennial exhibition. Typically, these events are science fair-style trade shows focused on technological innovation, using people as props. We created an architectural intervention with large, translucent hanging panels that told the human stories of beneficiaries and researchers. By reversing the gaze, we prioritized the dignity of people served by USAID projects and created a self-reflective environment for the development community.
